If you want something greater, or different in your life then coaching can help.
That's because I will help you identify and focus on what's important, which accelerates your success. I can help you identify your strengths, and also where you tend to repeat actions that aren't in your best interest. Creating a safe environment will enable you to see yourself more clearly; Identify gaps between where you are and where you need or want to be. As I am also a trained therapist you can be assured there you are in safe and experienced hands- even if the going gets tough. Together we can explore whatever it is that you need to work your way through to reach your goal.
There is no exhaustive list of what this type of therapeutic coaching can help with. Quite simply, it is a wonderful asset for anyone wanting to make positive changes to their life, whether personal or professional.
How does it work?
I will give you the space and support to explore your thinking and your actions, and help you find your own way. At the same time I may challenge your thinking, beliefs or actions, if I think it will help you. This may involve taking you outside your comfort zone so that that you can discover new possibilities for yourself. If you want to understand why you are not achieving something I will help you find out and then how to turn that around. Therapeutic Coaching is a partnership in which, together, we can determine what needs to happen to allow your strengths, skills and abilities to shine.
How often would I need coaching?
This depends on where you are now and where you want to get to. Also on your own motivation.
It is common to have the first two or three sessions about a fortnight apart- long enough to have time to make headway in the chosen actions, but not so far apart that momentum is lost.
Often thereafter once a month is enough - depending upon the complexity of what you want to achieve. If more counselling type of work (i.e. helping you unravel past patterns of thinking and behaviour that haven't got you what you want) is needed then you may choose to keep it more often until you feel ready for more of a pure coaching technique- (this is much more about your own self-determination and goal setting).
How many sessions would I need?
Again this depends on what changes you want to make. I would always recommend at least 6 monthly sessions. often people keep their coaching up throughout a year until they are confident they have got into good habits and a high level of self-awareness. Many of the highest achievers use a coach throughout their lives, not just for goal attainment, but also as a way of "checking in with themselves" .
Do I need to see you in person?
I have to say that I do love to see my clients in person, but this is not always possible. I have clients in other countries and so media such as Zoom is invaluable. This means that wherever you are, if you think I may be the one to help you through, then we can work together, wherever you are based.
If you would prefer to meet in person then that would be wonderful- I have an office in London between Liverpool Street and Bank Stations, and also in North Dorset in Gillingham and Milborne Port.
